I'm now 1/2 way though the 5 week radiation treatment and yesterday I finished 1 cycle of chemotherapy. I now have 7 days off the chemotherapy tablets and I kick off with another IV infusion and restart the tablets next Tuesday.
So far, so good on the chemo. Tiny bit of nausea but not bad at all. Worst side effects have been peripheral neuropathy in my fingers and jaw (only when I eat) and some Palmar-Plantar Erythrodysesthesia which has made it feel like I'm walking on blistered feet the last few days. But really I can't complain too much, for the aggressive treatment I'm receiving my side effects so far have been pretty mild.
Ditto radiation - touch wood, I've had no noticeable side effects so far although I'm told getting through week 3 completely will be a better indicator.
